PHYSICAL DESIGN ENGINEER

Key Requirements

Experience

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 6–10 years of experience in Physical Design for ASIC/SoC development.
• Proven experience across the physical implementation flow for digital IC designs.

Technical Skills

• Strong understanding of Physical Design methodologies and implementation flow.
• Experience with industry-standard Physical Design EDA tools.
• Good knowledge of timing closure, physical verification, power integrity, and signal integrity.
• Familiarity with design constraints, low-power implementation, and multi-voltage design methodologies.
• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.

Soft Skills

• Good written and verbal English communication skills.
• Strong teamwork and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform end-to-end Physical Design implementation for complex digital IC projects.
• Execute floorplanning, placement, clock implementation, routing, optimization, and physical verification activities.
• Support timing closure and optimize design quality in terms of timing, power, and area.
• Analyze and resolve implementation, physical verification, and design quality issues.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional engineering teams throughout the design lifecycle.
• Support final design release activities to ensure successful project delivery.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of Physical Design methodologies and engineering processes.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers.

Education

• Bachelor's degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
