Troubleshooting and Problem Solving
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues reported by users or identified through monitoring.
- Identify root causes of problems and implement solutions, which may include code debugging and system adjustments.
- Escalate complex issues to higher-level support or development teams as necessary.
- Provide support for software applications within the organization and to external suppliers when required.
- Communicate with users to understand their issues and offer clear instructions or guidance.
- Prepare documentation such as standard operating procedures, job aids, and support procedures.
- Train users on application functionality and recommended practices.
- Manage and maintain SQL databases to ensure data integrity, security, and availability; apply best practices for performance enhancement.
- Monitor application performance to proactively identify and address potential issues.
- Perform routine checks and maintenance tasks to support optimal application performance.
- Collaboration and Communication
- Collaborate with headquarters, infrastructure, and other teams to resolve complex issues, implement solutions, and improve system efficiency.
- Communicate with users, stakeholders, and team members to provide updates and gather information.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to knowledge sharing and process improvement.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation.
- Assist with systems integration activities.
- Participate in project business requirement analysis, system design, testing, training support, and ongoing maintenance.
- Contribute to software testing and deployment activities, including preparing test plans.
- Develop and implement automation solutions to streamline processes and enhance system performance.
- Create adhoc reports for various teams to support the business
- Support continuous service improvement initiatives.
- Contribute to long-term IT strategies to support supply chain organization.
- Background in computer science and application development.
- Experience with SAP ECC and SAP Ariba is required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft SQL Server database is required.
- Experience with SQL queries, stored procedures, and triggers.
- Familiarity with scripting languages or automation tools such as MS Access, VBA, or VBScript is advantageous.
- Knowledge of Sharepoint Online and Power Automate.
- Experience supporting supply chain systems.
- Understanding of Gupta Team Developer (Centura) is an advantage.
- Ability to explain technical concepts to individuals with varying levels of IT knowledge.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Critical thinking and analytical skills.
- Ability to translate user needs into IT requirements.
- Capability to work independently in a flexible and dynamic environment.
- Skill in managing and prioritizing multiple issues.
