Civil and Structural Manager

• Design managment: Select and manage design firms (Structural design, wind engineering, geotechnical, construction method consultants) and manage multiple structural design projects from inception through completion
• Desgin Coordination: Coordinate with project stakeholders including architects, MEP engineers, third party reviewer…, contractors, and authorities 
• Technical Guidance:  Review and validate design proposals, design alternatives, technical submissions, and construction methodologies from consultants and contractors.
• Quality Assurance: High level review for deliverable in different phases of project before submission to authorities or issuing to contractors
• Budget management: Assist QS team/ CM team for technical input, scope of works, techincal requirements… during preparation of cost plan / cost variation / tender package/ tender evaluation.  Safeguard developer's interests in technical decision-making and value engineering. 
• Risk management: Evaluate technical risks and propose mitigation strategies during design, authorites submission, and construction. Be able to prepare technical report/ comparision to reflect such issues/ strategies proposal to high level management.
• Cross functional team coordination for resolving various points with Strategy, Costing, Projects, Marketing, Contracting, Procurement etc.

• Review and approve shop drawings, submittals, and materials.
• Management for construction schedule and management for Construction Administration (authorship supervision) 
• Manage for design changes and history
• Assess and approve technical variations and claim
• Review survey result, settlement results, test pile result.

• Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering; Master's preferred. 
• 10+ years of experience with 5+ years in developer-side and 5+ years in design consultancy. 
• Fluent English speaking & writing is a must. 
• Work experiences in management of design and construction phases of large-scale residential and mixed-use facilities projects in HCMC (especially in Thu Thiem area) is preferred. 
• Necessary to possess good understanding of building regulations, codes, Vietnamese authority submission and procedure
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

• Understanding of construction costs and market rates 
• Familiar with Wind load analysis and application of Wind Tunnel Test result to Structural design
• Solid experience of deep-basement design (4-5 basements): foundation/ structural/ civil/ geotechnical work/ construction method… in large scale projects.
• Experience with infrastructure works: levelling works / soil improvement method/ infrastructure connection works
• Risk assessment and mitigation strategies
• Value engineering and cost optimization methods.
