Senior Trading Operations Specialist (Hedge Fund/Investment/Broker/Securities, English)

Key Responsibilities

• Trade lifecycle: Monitor staged orders, confirm borrows, resolve pre-settlement breaks with brokers in real time.
• Prime broker ops: Reconcile cash, positions & stock borrow daily across PBs. Check PB reports and action by priority.
• OEMS & PMS admin: Keep systems current — exchange fees, holidays, commissions. Learn new releases and train the team.
• Automation & reporting: Build macros, use AI tools or Power Automate to eliminate manual steps. Compile daily P&L and risk reports.
• Corporate actions: Track upcoming corporate events and keep the trader informed ahead of market deadlines.
• OTC & swap support: Assist with equity & swap affirmations and review all non-equity / OTC trade confirmations.

Requirements

• 3–10 years in operations or trade support at a bank, broker, or asset manager trading public securities
• Advanced English - able to correspond and present confidently with counterparties in HK (IELTS 6.5+)
• Curious, proactive, and always looking to make the process smarter - not just follow the checklist
• Comfortable working directly with a senior head - clear communicator, no hand-holding needed

Bonus points

• Experience with an OMS/PMS - Broadridge, Eze, Enfusion, Geneva, Advent, or similar
• Excel + VBA or Python skills - or comfortable using AI tools to build what you need
• Finance or Accounting degree (nice to have, not required)
