Job Description

  • Work in conjunction with R&D in testing and qualification of New Product Development.
  • Coordinate with R&D for resolving testing and design issues on products.
  • Analyze and recommend corrective action in case of any design failure.
  • Compile failure analysis report for giving feedback to supplier / R&D for appropriate actions.
  • Document, track and escalate issues as appropriate, using quality tools or similar techniques.
  • Provide engineering support for all activities during testing and qualification of products in factory.
  • Identify root cause of each failure and propose corrective action when necessary.
  • Recommend improvements to all production processes and methods to facilitate cost reduction and quality improvement regarding testing and manufacturing.
  • Identify latest technology and technique on power supply testing method.
  • Design and execute experiments to validate hypotheses during failure investigations.
  • Prepare detailed failure analysis reports and present findings to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Oversee the maintenance and calibration of failure analysis laboratory equipment.
  • Develop and implement failure analysis processes and methodologies across multiple product lines.

Qualifications
  • University degree or higher in a relevant engineering or science-based discipline.
  • Experience in working as R&D Engineer, Debug Engineer and/or Test Engineer.
  • Able to interpret schematic diagrams and validate findings using engineering tools.
  • Able to compute basic electronic circuits and apply accordingly when necessary.
  • Must have solid understanding of component failure mechanisms.
  • Fluency in English, both oral and written, is a must.
  • Must know how to create engineering reports according to engineering principles.
