We're looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer (React) to join a small frontend team building and maintaining a client-facing product. You'll take requirements from tickets through to production on staging, write clean and maintainable code, and help raise the quality of the codebase. The ideal candidate has strong React and CSS fundamentals, builds responsive interfaces that work across browsers and devices, and has strong ability to test and maintain the quality of their own work.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain product features in React, from ticket to production on staging.
- Collaborate with Website designers, the backend and QA/QC teams, and the client to discuss and understand the product user interface vision.
- Build responsive UIs with cross-browser, cross-device compatibility.
- Implement frontend code based on specifications and integrate with backend functionality to ensure websites function as intended.
- Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code.
- Review teammates' code and support junior developers.
- 5+ years building production web applications with React.
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, Tailwind and JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Strong CSS and responsive design fundamentals.
- Familiar with modern frontend tooling (Git, Vite/Webpack, npm/yarn).
- Habitually tests own work before handing it off.
- Knowledge of E2E Playwright best practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Able to read and work with tickets and documentation in English.
- Willingness to learn and apply AI into development workflows.
- Automated testing and CI/CD experience (Vitest, Playwright).
- Experience with iOS and Android mobile browsers.
- Comfortable with light backend work (not pure frontend only).
- Continuously learning and updating new techniques alongside AI is essential.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment.
- Product / UI-UX sense.
