Chief Accountant

Role Summary
The Chief Accountant is responsible for all accounting, taxation and compliance activities of the Company. This role ensures accurate financial records, compliance with statutory and group requirements, effective internal controls, and timely reporting while leading the accounting team and supporting management decision-making.
Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage and perform all accounting functions, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, and Tax accounting.
• Ensure accurate and timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, management reports, and month-end/year-end closing activities.
• Oversee tax compliance, tax filings, and statutory reporting, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Prepare and submit financial, investment, and other required reports and work with local authorities and Headquarters in accordance with regulatory and group requirements.
• Manage cash flow, intercompany transactions, and reconciliation of balance sheet accounts.
• Co-work with function team to implement, and monitor accounting policies, procedures, and internal control systems to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance.
• Lead and coordinate internal/external audits, tax inspections, and communications with auditors, tax authorities, customs authorities, and other regulatory bodies.
• Supervise and develop the accounting team, support budgeting and forecasting activities, and perform other duties assigned by Management.
• Prepare and submit statutory, tax, investment, and management reports to local authorities and Headquarters, ensuring compliance with regulatory and group reporting requirements.

MAIN FINANCIAL AND MANAGERIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES (Turnover, P&L, Productivity of industrial & manufacturing equipment, manpower under his/her responsibility)

EDUCATION  (Qualifications obtained in the course of formal education and/or training)

• Bachelor’s degree (or above) in field of accounting.

EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
 

• Over 5 years’ working experience in similar role.
• Expert in Vietnamese tax & accounting regulations, and all local special regulations in relative field.
• Experience in manage Customs Import and Export.
• Proficiency in Excel, ERP experience.
• Chief Accountant certificate required.

 

SKILLS REQUIRED:

 

• Good at cross-departmental collaboration, excellent independent analysis and problem-solving skills, and good interpersonal communication skills.
