Data Tester

Job Description 

• Participate in testing activities for large-scale Data Warehouse, Big Data platforms, and ETL/Data Pipeline systems within banking domain projects
• Analyze business and technical requirements to design comprehensive Test Plans, Test Scenarios, and Test Cases ensuring full coverage
• Perform end-to-end testing including:
  • Data Validation & Data Integrity Testing
  • ETL/ELT Testing (Extraction, Transformation, Loading processes)
  • Database Testing (SQL-based validation)
  • API Testing (RESTful services, data flow validation)
• Validate and reconcile data between source systems and target systems (DWH/Data Lake) to ensure consistency and accuracy
• Write and execute complex SQL queries to verify data correctness, completeness, and business logic
• Identify, log, track, and manage defects using standard tools (e.g., Jira), ensuring timely resolution
• Collaborate closely with Business Analysts, Developers, and Data Engineers to clarify requirements, troubleshoot issues, and improve system quality
• Contribute to improving testing processes, frameworks, and documentation standards
• Support UAT phases and ensure high data quality for production releases

Requirements

• Minimum 2+ years of experience in Software Testing/QA, with a focus on data-related projects
• Strong hands-on experience with SQL and Database Testing (complex queries, joins, aggregations, data validation)
• Proven experience in ETL/Data Testing, Data Warehouse environments, or Data Pipeline validation
• Experience working with tools such as Postman, Jira, and database management systems
• Good understanding of Data Warehouse concepts, ETL processes, and Big Data ecosystems is a strong advantage
• Ability to read and analyze business requirements and data mapping documents
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environment
• Prior experience in Banking, Financial Services, or Insurance domains is preferred
