JOB PURPOSE
This role is responsible for driving both costing and FP&A activities in a manufacturing environment, ensuring accurate cost control, meaningful financial analysis, and timely management reporting.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

1. Costing & Manufacturing Finance Support
• Support setup of costing structure (BOM, routing, standard cost)
• Work closely with Production and Engineering to ensure data accuracy and cost efficiency
• Ensure costing readiness for production ramp-up
• Ensure accuracy of BOM, routing, and production data in ERP
• Perform monthly production variance analysis (material, labor, overhead)
• Analyze cost drivers and recommend cost optimization initiatives
• Support product costing, margin analysis, and pricing decisions

2. FP&A and Management Reporting
• Prepare monthly management reports, including:
 o P&L analysis
 o Variance analysis
 o Performance insights and commentary
• Provide insights to support operational and cost-related decision-making
• Support financial visibility during production ramp-up
• Support Group reporting requirements and timelines

3. Inventory & COGS Control
• Support inventory reconciliation and physical stock counts
• Monitor slow-moving and obsolete inventory
• Ensure accuracy of COGS and related accounting entries
• Ensure accurate inventory valuation

4. Budgeting & Forecasting Support
• Support annual budgeting
• Prepare monthly/quarterly forecasts and rolling forecasts

5. Cross-functional Collaboration
• Work closely with Production, Engineering and Supply Chain
• Support cost efficiency and operational performance improvement

PERSON SPECIFICATION

1. Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field

2. Knowledge
• Strong understanding of costing methodologies and inventory valuation
• Good understanding of manufacturing cost structure and cost drivers
• Solid knowledge of budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis (FP&A)
• Good understanding of financial reporting and data accuracy principles

3. Experience
• 5–8 years costing or FP&A experience
• Strong manufacturing experience required
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., D365, SAP, Oracle) is preferred
