Key Objectives
-
Lead the overall local Quality organization, including QC, QA, and Vendor Compliance, while aligning quality initiatives with HQ and company strategy.

Drive continuous improvement in supplier and product quality to achieve and exceed quality standards.

Ensure compliance with quality systems, resolve operational issues, and maintain safe and efficient quality processes.

Lead, coach, and develop the local Quality team to maximize performance.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Team Management
-
Lead and develop the local Quality organization, ensuring alignment with business strategy and corporate culture.

Manage, coach, and evaluate team performance while driving continuous capability development.
Supplier & Product Quality

Ensure supplier compliance with company quality standards, inspection programs, and regulatory requirements.

Monitor supplier performance, lead quality improvement initiatives, and oversee on-site inspection programs.

Drive continuous improvement in supplier and product quality to meet established standards.
Quality Systems & Operations

Oversee, maintain, and continuously improve the Quality Management System.

Develop and optimize quality control procedures to reduce defects and improve operational efficiency.

Ensure successful execution of supplier self-inspection programs and timely shipment release.
Cross-functional Collaboration

Partner with HQ and cross-functional stakeholders to resolve critical quality issues and support business initiatives.

Escalate significant quality risks and provide technical recommendations based on quality findings.
Budget & Reporting

Manage the quality testing budget and monitor third-party testing costs.

Analyze quality data, inspection reports, KPIs, and risk assessments to support decision-making.
Project Management

Lead quality improvement projects, including data analysis, SOP development, and initiatives to reduce product return rates.
Stakeholder Communication

Organize and lead regular quality review meetings with factory management.

Track action plans and ensure timely follow-up on quality improvement initiatives.
Requirements
Education
-
Bachelor's degree or above in Engineering, Textile Engineering, or a related scientific discipline.
Experience
-
Minimum 6 years of relevant quality experience.
-
At least 5 years in an Assistant Manager or higher leadership position.

Experience within European retail brands, buying offices, sourcing organizations, or third-party testing laboratories.

Strong exposure to manufacturing operations across Greater Asia.
Technical Expertise
-
Strong knowledge of garment and hardgoods materials, manufacturing processes, quality inspection, and testing.

Ability to interpret inspection reports and understand EU/US regulations, directives, standards, and technical documentation.

Proven leadership with strong team management and coaching capabilities.

Excellent stakeholder management, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently under pressure with a proactive, hands-on mindset.
Language & Other Requirements

Fluent in spoken and written English and the local language.

German language skills are an advantage.

Computer literate.

Willingness to travel frequently to supplier factories.
