Foreigner Bank, one of leading financial institutions, is expanding its presence in Vietnam. We are seeking an experienced and motivated CRO/Senior Credit Officer to join our Vietnam team. This is an unique opportunity to work in a dynamic international banking environment and contribute to the Bank’s regional credit operations and compliance framework.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and approve or recommend credit proposals within delegated authority.
- Oversee the overall risk management of all functions in the covering region.
- Monitor the performance and quality of the credit portfolio.
- Ensure compliance with internal credit policies and external regulations.
- Lead the development of risk appetite, risk tolerance, and limit-setting and ensure consistent and compliant with internal policies, local and headquarters’ regulatory requirements.
- Ensure the quality of credit applications meet the bank’s standards.
- Mentor junior analysts or officers.
- Liaise with regulators, auditors and external parties as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, economics, or a related field.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in credit risk evaluation, portfolio monitoring, corporate/institutional/commercial lending, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of financial modelling, analytical skills, credit principles and banking practices, regulatory requirements and rating mechanisms.
- Excellent analytical skills, including evaluating financial statements and credit reports.
- Able to provide thoughtful and balanced risk perspectives on business lines.
- Good communication and organization skills.
- Proficiency in MS office application.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English and Vietnamese
