Stone Specialist / Stone Expert

• Source natural and engineered stone materials (marble, granite, quartz, etc.) locally and internationally for high-end interior projects.
• Evaluate and grade stone quality based on color, veining, defects, and project requirements.
• Work directly with quarries, stone yards, factories, and processing workshops for material selection and production coordination.
• Conduct factory visits, inspections, and sourcing trips to ensure material consistency and quality standards.

• Read and understand technical drawings and shop drawings to ensure accurate stone dimensions, detailing, and application.
• Coordinate with Design, Production, QC, Construction, and Sales teams to meet design intent, quality standards, and project timelines.
• Monitor stone processing, fabrication, and finishing to ensure materials match approved samples and specifications.
• Inspect stone color, veining, polish, thickness, and dimensional accuracy; ensure products are free from cracks, chips, or defects.
• Support production scheduling, delivery coordination, and issue resolution related to sourcing or quality.

• Cut, grind, polish, and finish natural or engineered stone using machines and hand tools.
• Operate stone processing equipment such as bridge saws, edge polishers, and CNC machines.
• Perform routine machine checks and basic maintenance.

• Assist with on-site installation of stone components and ensure proper fitting and finishing quality.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in stone fabrication, sourcing, or installation for interior or architectural projects.
• Proven experience in sourcing within the interior stone / finishing materials industry
• Stone grading skills/experience (quality assessment, selection, matching)
• Solid understanding of stone production and processing workflows
• Travel experience for sourcing, factory visits, and inspections
• English communication skills required for business travel
• Proactive, responsible, and able to work with multiple suppliers
