Position Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Supply Chain Manager to oversee end-to-end supply chain operations for UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) components and assembly, with strong supplier network capabilities in China. 

Key Responsibilities

1. End-to-End Supply Chain Management
  • Design, implement, and manage the entire supply chain ecosystem, including sourcing, procurement, production planning, inventory management, logistics, and distribution.
  • Ensure seamless coordination between suppliers, contract manufacturers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Optimize supply chain processes for scalability, agility, and cost-efficiency.
2. Supplier Network Development & Management
  • Build and maintain a strong, reliable supplier ecosystem across China (especially UAV components, electronics, sensors, motors, batteries, etc.).
  • Conduct supplier sourcing, qualification, auditing, and performance evaluation.
  • Establish long-term strategic partnerships with key suppliers.
3. Strategic Sourcing & Cost Optimization
  • Develop sourcing strategies aligned with business goals (cost competitiveness, quality, and delivery reliability).
  • Lead pricing negotiations, contract management, and supplier agreements.
  • Continuously identify opportunities for cost reduction (BOM optimization, dual sourcing, localization strategies).
4. Production & Demand Planning
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to align supply with demand forecasts.
  • Ensure material availability for production schedules while maintaining optimal inventory levels.
  • Implement S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) processes where applicable.
5. Quality & Compliance Management
  • Work closely with R&D and Quality teams to ensure all components meet technical and regulatory standards.
  • Establish supplier quality control processes and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Manage supplier quality issues, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
6. Logistics & Distribution Management
  • Oversee domestic and international logistics, warehousing, and transportation.
  • Optimize delivery lead times and logistics costs.
  • Ensure compliance with import/export regulations and trade policies.
7. Risk Management & Market Intelligence
  • Identify potential risks in the supply chain (supplier dependency, geopolitical risks, price volatility).
  • Develop contingency and mitigation plans (multi-sourcing, safety stock strategies).
  • Monitor market trends in UAV and electronics supply markets.
8. Cross-functional Collaboration
  • Partner with R&D, engineering, manufacturing, finance, and global stakeholders.
  • Support product development by ensuring supply chain readiness (DFM – Design for Manufacturing).
  • Align supply chain strategy with business growth objectives in China and globally.

Requirements

1. Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related fields.
  • Master’s degree (MBA or equivalent) is a strong advantage.
2. Experience
  • Minimum 10–15 years of experience in supply chain, procurement, or operations.
  • At least 2–3 years of direct experience in UAV, drone, aerospace, or high-tech electronics manufacturing industries.
  • Proven track record in managing supplier networks and supply chain operations in China.
  • Experience working in multinational or global organizations is preferred.
3. Core Competencies
  • Supply Chain Expertise: Deep understanding of end-to-end supply chain processes in manufacturing environments.
  • Supplier Network: Strong existing network within China’s UAV/electronics ecosystem is a significant advantage.
  • Strategic Sourcing & Negotiation: Advanced negotiation skills and cost management capability.
  • Operational Excellence: Ability to design efficient, scalable, and resilient supply chain systems.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong data-driven decision-making capability.
  • Risk Management: Ability to anticipate and mitigate supply chain disruptions.
  • Leadership & Stakeholder Management: Proven leadership experience managing cross-functional teams.
  • Communication: Fluent in Mandarin Chinese; English proficiency is required for global coordination.
