SMT Engineer

Position : SMT Engineer

Job overview: To be skillful in SMT printer, SPI, pick and place (FUJI), reflow oven and AOI and able to develop program, and test coverage, solve problem related to process and equipment. To provide the expertise in machine cycle time optimization, optimize manufacturing equipment spares inventory, 
conduct SMT equipment PM, minimize equipment down time and upgrading on equipment performance. Define, implement and document processes tooling, fixture and equipment to manufacture PCBA products. Interface with customers, to understand all technical requirements for all aspects of PCBA production.

Main Responsibilities
• Verify and establish parameters for each equipment (printing, SPI, reflow, AOI, etc., including DOE verification).
• Develop Standard Operation Procedure on all kinds of products for high quality manufacturing, documents were released and in controlled.
• Analyze production line quality defects and develop corrective actions.
• Handle production line issues (communicate and coordinate with other departments).
• Lead the analysis and development of corrective actions for assembly processes or customer complaints of defective products.
• Develop and implement new processes and procedures to continuously improve production processes.
• Assist in the evaluation of new equipment and processes.
• Analyze and improve production line quality issues weekly and monthly and provide continuous follow-up.

Technical and Experienced Requirements
• Education: Associate degree or above in applied electronics, mechatronics, automation, or mechanical manufacturing
• At least 10 years of experience in the SMT field. Proficiency in stencil design for various SMD components and PCB/FPC substrate design. Ability to accurately identify and address production line issues immediately.
• Better to have IPC related training. 
• Be familiar IE Skills, QC 7 tools, 4M1E analysis; SMT Process and equipment knowledge; IPC standards; ESD knolwedge
• Understanding of ISO9001, and ISO14001 requirement; quality mindset; DFM, DOE, PFMEA is preferred. 
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
• Strong work ethics and team spirit.
• High ability to handle issues.
