SENIOR MOLD PURCHASER

Job Purpose:

The role as Mold Engineer in the Purchasing Department is responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and managing mold suppliers to ensure mold meet technical requirements, quality standards, cost targets, and delivery schedules.

Job Description:

Identify, evaluate, and develop mold suppliers based on technical capability, quality, cost, and delivery performance.
Sourcing new potential suppliers to ensure uninterrupted operations within the business continuity plan.
Request and review quotations from suppliers for new mold projects.
Conduct technical discussions with suppliers to ensure mold meet product and process requirements.
Support supplier selection and participate in supplier evaluation and audits.
Coordinate mold development activities from design review to mold delivery and qualification.
Monitor project timelines to ensure mold are delivered according to production schedules.
Follow up mold trial results and work with suppliers to resolve technical issues.
Review mold design, drawings, and technical specifications before fabrication.
Work with internal engineering teams to optimize mold design for manufacturability and cost efficiency.
Analyze mold costs and propose cost optimization opportunities.
Negotiate contracts, terms, condition with suppliers.
Cross check Purchase Requisitions and issue Purchase Order.

Recruitment Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
At least 5 years of experience in mold purchasing position.
Strong knowledge of mold design, mold manufacturing processes, and materials.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and mold specifications.
Consistent, detail-oriented, analytical.
Good speaking and written skills in English.
