Job Description: Purchasing Manager – Manufacturing Industry

Position Overview

Our client, a company with manufacturing operations in Vietnam, is seeking an experienced Purchasing Manager to lead their procurement team. The successful candidate will oversee the purchase order (PO) process, manage supplier relationships, and ensure efficient and cost-effective purchasing operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop the purchasing team to achieve departmental goals.

• PO Management: Oversee the end-to-end purchase order process, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely execution.

• Supplier Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiate contracts, and monitor performance.

• Cost Control: Implement strategies to optimize costs while maintaining quality standards.

• Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and enhance procurement processes for efficiency and transparency.

• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with production, logistics, and finance teams to align purchasing activities with business needs.

• Compliance & Reporting: Ensure adherence to company policies, industry regulations, and provide regular reports to senior management.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5–7 years of experience in purchasing or supply chain management within the manufacturing industry.

• Proven experience in team management and leadership.

• Strong knowledge of procurement practices, supplier negotiation, and PO systems.

• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

• Proficiency in ERP/CRM systems and MS Office Suite.

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field preferred.
