Chief Accountant (South)

Key Responsibilities

• Financial & Tax Reporting: Guide and review preparation of management reports, financial statements, and monthly/quarterly/yearly tax reports.

• Operational Reports: Handle reports on business operations, revenue, and expenditure management.

• Tax Compliance: Review and approve tax filings before submission to authorities.

• Inventory Control: Check and approve reports on inventory discrepancies from warehouse accounting.

• Payroll Management: Review and approve payroll calculations.

• Payments & Investments: Approve payment requests related to investment and construction activities.

• Audit & Compliance: Ensure periodic and ad-hoc audits are conducted, minimizing errors or violations.

• Banking & External Relations: Oversee transactions with banks, contractors, suppliers, customers, and government agencies (Tax Department, Department of Planning & Investment, Customs, Treasury).

• Document Management: Organize and safeguard accounting records (general journal, ledgers, contracts, VAT filings, revenue, receivables).

• Budget Monitoring: Track approved construction budgets and cost norms per project.

• Project Disbursement: Manage documentation related to project financing and construction disbursement.

• Departmental Development: Contribute to building departmental regulations, processes, and guidelines.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Auditing, or Finance.

• Experience: Minimum 5 years, including management and leadership experience.

• Skills: Strong leadership, planning, and problem-solving abilities.

• Languages: Basic English communication.

• IT Skills: Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and accounting software (MISA, 1Office).

• Personal Traits: Honest, enthusiastic, detail-oriented, dynamic.
