Senior Data Engineer

Job Overview
Our client, a Digital Transformation Consulting firm,  is seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to join data solutions team. You will play a key role in designing and delivering end-to-end data platform solutions, primarily for their clients in the Financial Services and Banking sectors. Key Responsibilities

• Implement data solutions including Data Platform, Data Warehouse, Data Lakehouse, and AI Platform.
• Design, configure, and operate data system components such as databases, data ingestion pipelines, data governance frameworks, orchestration tools, and query engines.
• Collaborate with clients and partners to develop and optimize data pipelines, build reporting systems, and migrate data from legacy systems.
• Act as a technical focal point when working with external vendors and partners.
• Prepare technical documentation for implemented solutions.
• Present and demonstrate data solutions to clients.
• Continuously research and adopt new data technologies aligned with company strategy.

Requirements
Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Telecommunications, or a related field (preferred).

Experience

• Minimum 5 years of experience in areas such as Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, Data Warehouse, Data Lake, or Big Data systems.

Technical Skills

• Strong understanding of data platform architecture and data processing workflows.
• Experience with Git/GitOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with IBM data solutions (Banking Data Model, Netezza, Cloud Pak for Data).
• Hands-on experience with container platforms such as Kubernetes or OpenShift.
• Familiarity with tools and technologies including SQL, DataStage, Tableau/Power BI, Apache Spark, Kafka, and Airflow.
• Exposure to data infrastructure deployment is a plus.

Soft Skills

• Ability to read and communicate technical materials in English.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Good teamwork and collaboration ability.
• Proactive mindset with strong learning agility.

Working Conditions

• Working hours: Monday–Friday, 08:00 – 17:30
• Office: Cau Giay, Hanoi
