Engineer – Post-Silicon Hardware Validation

Job Responsibilities

• Execute post-silicon validation and characterization of ASIC, SoC, or FPGA products.
• Develop and perform validation test plans to verify functionality, performance, power, and reliability.
• Bring up new silicon in the lab and debug hardware issues.
• Analyze test results, identify root causes, and work with Design, Verification, Firmware, and Software teams to resolve issues.
• Validate high-speed interfaces and protocols such as PCIe, USB, Ethernet, DDR, SATA, or SerDes.
• Develop test scripts and automation tools to improve validation efficiency.
• Operate and maintain lab equipment including oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, protocol analyzers, and power measurement tools.
• Document test results and provide validation reports to support product qualification and release.
• Support customer issue investigation and failure analysis when required.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 3-8 years of experience in Post-Silicon Validation, Hardware Validation, Silicon Bring-up, or Product Validation.
• Strong understanding of digital electronics, embedded systems, and hardware debugging techniques.
• Hands-on experience with lab equipment and hardware debugging tools.
• Familiarity with industry-standard interfaces such as PCIe, USB, Ethernet, DDR, I2C, SPI, and UART.
• Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Shell, or Perl for test automation.
• Ability to analyze complex hardware issues and perform root cause investigation.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Good command of English.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with ASIC, SoC, FPGA, networking, server, storage, or consumer electronic products.
• Knowledge of silicon characterization, performance validation, and reliability testing.
• Experience working with semiconductor design and verification teams.
