Deputy Customs Manager

Location: Based at Duc Hoa, Tay Ninh, Vietnam

Shuttle bus from HCMC - working from Mon-Sat

Industry: Footwear material

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the entire import-export process, including the preparation and submission of customs declarations and documentation
• Collaborate with stakeholders to address and resolve all import-export related issues and concerns to ensure smooth operations
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and compliance in customs operations
• Supervise and lead the customs team, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance and compliance with all procedures
• Verify and maintain accuracy in customs documentation, submit monthly reports to the relevant departments and stakeholders, and oversee the management of the customs book
• Monitor and control costs associated with customs duties and all related expenses
• Manage annual contract transitions, including the handling of balance stock and material write-offs with customs authorities
• Ensure compliance with local and international customs regulations and company policies
• Fulfill all other duties as assigned by management

Requirements:

• At least a college degree in Logistic, International Trade or related field required
• At least 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in textile or footwear industry in Vietnam Market
• Strong knowledge of customs regulations and procedures in Vietnam
• Competent in Microsoft and office productivity software, along with familiarity with the VNACS ECUS Custom System
• Proficiency in both Vietnamese and English is mandatory. Additional proficiency in Chinese is advantageous, aligning with business requirements
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
