Overview
Our client, one of Vietnam’s leading retailers, is seeking a Sourcing Director – Own Brand to build and develop the OEM/ODM supplier network for its rapidly growing private label portfolio. This role is responsible for sourcing strategy, supplier management, cost optimization, and team leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies for the Private Label portfolio, ensuring supply capabilities support business growth objectives.
- Build and manage domestic and international OEM/ODM supplier networks, while identifying and developing new manufacturing partners to strengthen sourcing capabilities.
- Lead international sourcing initiatives across China and ASEAN markets to enhance cost competitiveness, product quality, and innovation.
- Oversee sourcing activities for Food categories while supporting capability expansion into non-food categories.
- Lead commercial negotiations with suppliers and manufacturers to optimize costs, partnership terms, service levels, and supply chain efficiency.
- Partner closely with Commercial, Quality, Product Development, and Supply Chain teams to support product development, launches, and lifecycle management.
- Ensure suppliers comply with quality, food safety, regulatory, and company standards.
- Build and lead a high-performing sourcing organization through clear KPIs, capability development, and succession planning.
Education & Professional Knowledge
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Business, Supply Chain, Economics, or related fields.
- Strong knowledge of sourcing, procurement, supplier management, and OEM/ODM models.
- 10-15 years of sourcing/procurement experience, including at least 5 years in senior leadership roles.
- Proven experience working with domestic and international OEM/ODM manufacturers.
- Preference for candidates from Food, FMCG, or Retail Private Label environments.
- Experience leading sourcing teams of 8-10 members or more.
- Strategic mindset with strong execution and results orientation.
- Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- Fluent English; Mandarin proficiency is a plus.
