Finance & Accounting Manager (Chinese Speaking)

Working location      : HCM Office (mainly) & Plant in Phan Thiet (1-2 times/week)

ROLE OVERVIEW
The ideal candidate will partner closely with senior management to develop and execute the company's financial strategy. This role requires the ability to effectively manage and analyze large volumes of financial data while serving as a trusted business partner and key contributor to decision-making processes through timely and accurate financial reporting.

The position is primarily based at the Ho Chi Minh City office, with regular weekly travel to the manufacturing plant in Phan Thiet.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Accounting Management

• Oversee daily accounting operations and ensure accuracy, compliance, and adherence to Vietnam Accounting Standards (VAS) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
• Maintain the integrity and reliability of accounting records and financial data.

Financial Reporting & Analysis

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
• Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic planning and business decision-making.

Cost Accounting & Analysis

• Manage cost accounting for raw materials, production processes, work-in-progress (WIP), and finished goods.
• Analyze variances between standard costs and actual costs, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions and cost optimization initiatives.

Tax Compliance

• Oversee tax filings and ensure full compliance with local tax regulations and statutory requirements.
• Minimize tax-related risks through proactive planning and monitoring.

Audit & Internal Controls

• Support the development and maintenance of internal control systems and financial governance processes.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors to ensure transparency, compliance, and audit readiness.

Cost & Expense Control

• Monitor manufacturing costs and departmental operating expenses.
• Provide recommendations to improve cost efficiency and operational performance.

Team Leadership

• Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team to enhance technical capabilities, productivity, and overall performance.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and strengthen accounting processes.

 JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree or above in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• CPA, ACCA, or equivalent professional certification is preferred.
• 8–10 years of accounting and/or finance experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in an Finance Manager, Chief Accountant, Accounting Manager, Accounting Supervisor, or equivalent leadership role.
• Proven experience in a manufacturing environment and/or multinational corporation (MNC).
• Strong knowledge of VAS and IFRS.
• Solid expertise in general ledger accounting, cost accounting, financial reporting, and tax compliance.
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial analysis tools.
• Fluency in both Chinese and English is required.
• Strong leadership capabilities with a track record of managing teams and driving process improvements.
• High level of integrity, attention to detail, adaptability, and excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
