Senior RoR Engineer

Job Responsibilities

Develop, enhance, and maintain core product features using Ruby on Rails.
Drive the modernization of existing applications by transitioning them to a microservices architecture.
Collaborate closely with Product Managers and Designers to gather requirements and define functional specifications.
Design scalable system architectures and evaluate/select appropriate middleware solutions based on business and technical requirements.
Analyze system performance, identify improvement opportunities, and implement initiatives to enhance product quality and service reliability.

At least 5 years of hands-on experience developing and maintaining web applications with Ruby on Rails.
Proven experience serving as a Technical Lead throughout the complete software development lifecycle.
Solid understanding of database technologies and practical experience in database design and development.
Hands-on experience with cloud environments such as AWS, GCP, Azure, or equivalent platforms.
Demonstrated expertise in API design, development, and documentation.
Strong knowledge of software engineering principles and the end-to-end development lifecycle.

Experience troubleshooting production issues through log analysis and root-cause investigation.
Practical experience building and deploying applications using container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
Proven ability to design system architectures and select appropriate middleware solutions based on application requirements.
Contributions to Open Source Software (OSS) projects, including publishing or maintaining libraries/tools.
Active involvement in the technology community through activities such as technical blogging, speaking engagements, knowledge sharing, or publishing technical content.
