Vietnam, December 18, 2025 – Manpower Vietnam today announced the launch of its 2026 Salary Guide, an annual resource designed for businesses, organizations, and professionals seeking the latest insights into Vietnam’s labor market.
The 2026 Salary Guide not only highlights recruitment trends across 12 key industry sectors but also provides a comprehensive overview of labor costs, including reference salary ranges for more than 700 positions, bonus structures, and employee benefits.
Additionally, the guide reveals emerging skill requirements, language proficiency expectations, and identifies the roles projected to experience the highest demand in 2026.
Salary and benefits outlook across Vietnam’s key industries in 2026
- Executive compensation adjustments in 2026: Salary recommendations for senior leadership roles - such as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and General Manager - show a modest adjustment of 1–5% across most industries compared to 2025, varying by years of experience. Within Banking & Financial Services, the Banking sector is the only area where the minimum suggested CEO salary has increased, with a rise of 7–12%.
- Salary trends for mid-level and below roles in 2026: Suggested salary ranges for most positions across industries show slight downward adjustments. A notable highlight is Manufacturing & Engineering, where many roles maintain current levels or see upward adjustments.
- Annual pay raises show wide variation across industries: According to Salary Guide 2026, Logistics & Supply Chain offers the highest annual pay raises at 10-20%, followed by Technology & Digital at 10-15%. Meanwhile, Hospitality, Travel & Tourism and Construction & Real Estate report the most modest increases, at 3-5% per year. This marks a shift from last year, when Banking & Financial Services and Consumer Goods & Retail had the lowest raises.
- Companies prioritize skills development and career growth: Training programs and clear career progression paths are among the most common benefits offered by employers, spanning 11 of 12 sectors. Following closely are healthcare benefits for employees and their families, available in 8 of 12 sectors.
In an increasingly competitive talent market, many employers are focusing not only on salaries but also on long-term workforce development strategies.
Nguyen Thu Trang, Head of Manpower Brand, Manpower Vietnam, shared: “The growing attention from businesses toward upskilling and career development is a positive sign for the market. On one hand, this approach helps companies proactively address the shortage of skilled talent; on the other, it meets candidates’ rising expectations for career growth, making it an effective way to attract and retain top talent.”
Key hiring trends in Vietnam for 2026
- Soft skills take a back seat: Only 4 out of 12 industries list soft skills among the most sought-after capabilities, down from 6 industries in 2025. This shift reflects a growing emphasis on hiring professionals with strong technical expertise in 2026 to drive business growth.
- Demand for digital transformation talent surges across industries: Skills related to technology, digitalization, and automation rank among the most sought-after capabilities in 8 out of 12 industries - up by three sectors compared to last year. The pace of digital acceleration is most pronounced in Banking & Financial Services, Energy - Oil & Gas, Logistics & Supply Chain, and Manufacturing & Engineering.
Artificial intelligence (AI) is poised to unlock significant business value, with its impact is expected to accelerate dramatically in Vietnam in 2026. AI is anticipated to optimize operations, boost productivity, enhance customer experience, and drive innovation. Industries set to benefit most include Banking & Financial Services, Tourism & Hospitality, Logistics & Supply Chain.
Vietnam’s strong economic momentum - fueled by robust GDP growth, record-high realised FDI in the first 11 months of 2025, infrastructure upgrades, and government reforms - is expected to drive a sharp increase in hiring demand in 2026. To build a high-quality, resilient workforce, Manpower Vietnam expert urges companies to adopt a more holistic talent strategy.
“Attracting and retaining talent are two different challenges - yet many organizations treat them as one. When exploring new job opportunities, candidates tend to focus on more immediate, tangible benefits, such as salary, bonuses, paid time off, healthcare benefits, and flexibility. But long-term commitment to an organization depends on deeper elements: cultural alignment, shared values, trust in leadership and strategy, as well as finding meaning in their work and confidence in their ability to succeed in the role,” emphasized Ms. Nguyen Thu Trang.
