BASIC FUNCTION OF THE JOB
The Operation Project Management (OPM) Engineer is responsible for planning, coordinating, executing, and monitoring operational projects to ensure successful delivery within scope, schedule, quality, and budget requirements. The role serves as a key liaison among cross-functional teams, customers, suppliers, and stakeholders to drive New Product Introduction (NPI), manufacturing readiness, process improvement, and operational excellence initiatives.

The Operation Project Management (OPM) Engineer is responsible for planning, coordinating, executing, and monitoring operational projects to ensure successful delivery within scope, schedule, quality, and budget requirements. The role serves as a key liaison among cross-functional teams, customers, suppliers, and stakeholders to drive New Product Introduction (NPI), manufacturing readiness, process improvement, and operational excellence initiatives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITY
Project Planning & Execution
- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, milestones, and deliverables.
- Coordinate project activities across Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and other functional teams.
- Ensure projects are executed according to approved timelines and objectives.
- Monitor project progress and proactively identify risks, issues, and dependencies.
- Support project launch activities from development through mass production.
- Communicate project expectations, status, and key updates to stakeholders in a timely and effective manner.
- Act as the primary contact between customers, suppliers, and internal teams regarding project execution.
- Facilitate project meetings and follow up on action items to ensure timely closure.
- Track project milestones, deliverables, and critical performance indicators.
- Prepare regular project status reports and management presentations.
- Escalate critical issues and provide recommendations for corrective actions.
- Monitor project budgets and resource utilization.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve operational efficiency and project execution.
- Support process optimization, KPI tracking, and cross-functional problem-solving activities.
- Ensure project documentation is properly maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
- Participate in risk assessments and quality reviews to ensure project success.
- Ensure project deliverables meet customer requirements and company quality standards.
- Coordinate with Quality and Manufacturing teams to resolve project-related issues.
- Support implementation of corrective and preventive actions when required.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Business Administration, or related disciplines
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Project Management, Program Management, NPI, Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, or related functions.
- Good command of English OR Chinese (Mandarin) is required.
- Experience in the Electronics Manufacturing industry is required.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Experience supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) projects is highly preferred.
