I. Job Responsibilities
- Own test planning across lead capture, application submission, fee validation, approval, card production, activation, first transaction, usage and cross sell triggers
- Translate business requirements into test scenarios, test cases, acceptance criteria, test data and release sign-off checklist
- Validate end-to-end handoffs across Branch, Card Center, CRM, core banking, card management system, mobile banking, switch and data dashboard
- Run SIT, UAT, regression testing, pilot readiness testing and production smoke testing with clear defect tracking
- Test key controls across KYC, customer data, fee proof, approval rules, activation authentication, failed transaction handling and audit trail
- Work with Product Owner, Technology, Operations, Risk, Branch, Contact Center and vendors to resolve defects before release
- Monitor post-release incidents, failed cases, customer complaints and defect leakage to improve future test coverage
II. Measurement Indicators
- Testing quality: test coverage, UAT pass rate, regression pass rate and defect closure rate
- Release quality: defect leakage rate, production incident rate and release rollback rate
- Journey quality: failed issuance cases, failed activation cases and failed transaction cases after release
- Control quality: audit trail completeness, data validation pass rate and control test pass rate
- Delivery quality: test cycle completion, defect aging and release sign-off timeliness
III. Key Qualifications and Experience
1. Education
- Minimum: Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Banking, Finance or a related field
- Preferred: ISTQB or equivalent testing certification; agile, payments testing, UAT, quality assurance or IT risk certification preferred
2. Experience
- 3 to 7 years in banking QA, payments testing, card operations testing, technology testing or digital banking delivery
- 2 or more years in retail banking or financial services, working with operations, risk, compliance, technology, branches and vendors
- Experience testing card issuance, activation, mobile banking, transaction processing, CRM workflow, core banking and card management system changes
- Proven delivery of SIT, UAT, regression testing, release readiness, defect management and production validation
3. Skillsets
- Strong understanding of card journeys across acquisition, issuance, activation, usage, failed transaction handling and cross selling
- Working knowledge of test planning, test cases, acceptance criteria, test data, traceability matrix, defect logs and release sign-off
- Practical knowledge of CRM, core banking, card management system, workflow, mobile banking, switch, data mart and reporting tools
- Ability to diagnose defects using rejection reasons, activation failures, transaction errors, complaint data and incident logs
- Solid control mindset across KYC, AML, sanctions, fee validation, data quality, audit trail, access control and operational risk
