JOB PURPOSE

Improve the effectiveness of the overall platform operating model across multiple squads and help facilitate coordination with other BUs by coaching platform leadership and members, resolving organizational bottlenecks and codifying effective platform ways of working. Enable each squad to deliver effectively by facilitating ceremonies, removing impediments and fostering a high-performing, self-organizing team environment so the squads can predictably deliver value every sprint.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coach Platform Lead and Product Owners to translate platform OKRs into quarterly priorities, squad backlogs and sprint outcomes

  • Facilitate squad and platform ceremonies, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, daily stand-up, sprint review, retrospective and dependency check-in

  • Remove impediments that slow acquisition, issuance, activation, usage and cross selling, escalating structural blockers to Platform Lead and relevant line owners

  • Coordinate dependencies across Product, Risk, Segment or Marketing, Compliance, Operations and Technology

  • Coach Product Owners and Business/Data Analysts on story slicing, acceptance criteria, prioritization and benefit tracking

  • Codify Cards and Payments Platform ways of working, including decision rights, operating cadence, backlog standards and escalation paths

  • Monitor platform maturity, agile health, delivery predictability and collaboration gaps and recommend targeted interventions

MEASUREMENT INDICATORS

  • Delivery predictability: sprint commitment achievement, backlog readiness, blocked item ageing and dependency resolution lead time

  • Platform effectiveness: OKR delivery, decision turnaround time and cross-squad issue closure

  • Agile health: ceremony discipline, retrospective action closure, team health score and agile maturity improvement

  • Collaboration: stakeholder satisfaction, handoff quality across acquisition, issuance, activation, usage and cross selling and reduced escalation frequency

KEY QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Education:

  • Minimum: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Information Systems, Technology Management, Organizational Development or a related field

  • Preferred: Master's Degree or MBA; Certified ScrumMaster, Professional Scrum Master, Agile Coach, SAFe or equivalent agile certification preferred

Experience:

  • 5-10 years in agile delivery, platform transformation, Scrum Master or Agile Coach roles in banking, cards, payments or financial services

  • Over 3-4 years facilitating agile squads in regulated technology environments using Jira, Confluence and structured delivery ceremonies

  • Experience coaching Product Owners, Squad Leads, Business Analysts, Journey Designers and Tech Developers across business and technology teams

  • Responsibility and leadership scope of 80-100 FTEs

Skillsets:

  • Deep knowledge of Scrum, Kanban, agile delivery, OKRs, backlog health, sprint planning, retrospectives and QBR preparation

  • Strong facilitation skills to resolve blockers, decision delays, dependency issues and cross-squad handoffs

  • Understanding of banking controls, audit discipline, risk escalation, release governance and change management

  • Ability to coach senior platform leadership and squad members on practical ways of working

  • Skilled in codifying playbooks, ceremonies, decision rights, templates and team health routines
