GENERAL FUNCTION:

Ensure products are technically ready for mass production by safeguarding design intent, fit, performance, grading, workmanship, and commercial viability across multi-base sizes from 1st Fit through PP Approval. Drive sample feasibility, on-time approvals, and alignment to the Article Description (AD) while partnering with vendors, and cross-functional teams (Sourcing, Materials, Technical Design).

PRIMARY DUTIES:

Fit & Construction Governance

  • Compile, analyse, and document clear directional fitting comments in Centric PLM.
  • Evaluate construction & quality; identify risks & testing needs; propose alternatives to reduce risk.
  • Uphold design intent across sizes from 1st Fit to PP; flag concerns to Technical & Design teams.

Sample & Calendar (T&A) Management

  • Work closely with cross-functional team & vendors to manage sample T&A; initiate prompt vendor actions to remove bottlenecks.
  • Ensure size sets, counter, and confirmation samples are produced, delivered & approved on time.

SOP Compliance & Continuous Improvement

  • Follow and assess annual internal/external SOPs; drive partner updates where required.
  • Lead/participate in projects to create or refine SOPs and best practices.

Vendor Enablement & Accreditation

  • Lead vendor accreditation training for PP and Fit Approval.
  • Identify programs/ styles to allocate PP and/or Fit Approval to qualified vendors. AD Alignment & Pre-production Readiness
  • Partner with brand Tech & Design team to resolve pattern and size spec issues; pre-screen ADs for manufacturability.
  • Conduct pre-production meetings to clarify open issues so bulk production mirrors the AD.

Communication & Collaboration:

  • Build strong relationships with vendors & cross functional partners; share knowledge to improve alignment.
  • Provide product improvement proposals (quality, cost, make-ability) to project managers.

Decision-Making & Problem Solving

  • Resolve discrepancies in pattern/ grading/ YY; approve samples, verify pattern construction, confirm fit results, and uphold quality standards.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

Technical

  • Hands-on pattern-making/ grading background (preferably as a pattern maker).
  • Strong command of sewing, stitch properties, and garment production methods.
  • Proficient with Centric PLM
  • Good MS Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Process & Collaboration

  • Organized, detail-oriented; proactive.
  • Effective cross-functional partnership (PD, Design, Planning, Sourcing, Quality, Costing); clear written and verbal communication in English.

Experience

  • 6-8 years garment production experience.
  • Proven track record managing fit, SOPs, sample T&A, and vendor accreditation.
WORKING CONDITIONS
  • Location: Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam (office environment).
  • Travel: Up to ~15% for supplier visits and regional collaboration.
