We are partnering with an international banking platform to appoint a Relationship Manager, China Desk in Vietnam. This role focuses on supporting corporate clients with China-related business activities and regional expansion across Southeast Asia. The position suits a relationship-driven banker who enjoys working in a cross-border context while maintaining strict client confidentiality.
The Opportunity
You will manage and grow a portfolio of China-related corporate relationships, supporting clients as they establish and expand operations in Vietnam and the broader SEA–China corridor. The role offers exposure to a wide range of industries and banking solutions, working closely with internal product and credit teams.

Key Responsibilities
- Originate new business through professional networks, industry partners, and investment or trade-related organizations
- Build and manage relationships with China-linked corporate clients operating in or expanding into Vietnam
- Support clients through a full relationship lifecycle, from onboarding to ongoing growth and portfolio management
- Cover sectors including manufacturing, commodities, logistics, technology, and new economy industries
- Structure and cross-sell lending, transaction banking, and selected advisory solutions
- Prepare credit proposals and coordinate the end-to-end financing and approval process
- Provide high-quality day-to-day relationship management and client servicing.
- At least 8+ years’ experience in corporate banking in leading banks with hands-on experience managing China-related corporate clients.
- Solid credit underwriting fundamentals; exposure to structured or capital markets products.
- Commercially astute, agile, and comfortable operating in a dynamic environment
- Strong cultural awareness and stakeholder management skills
- Willingness to travel domestically and occasionally within the region.
- Fluent Mandarin, with strong English and Vietnamese.
- Confidential China Desk mandate within a stable international platform
