Embedded Firmware Lead

• Own motor-controller and board firmware: current/velocity/position loops, thermal protection, fault handling, watchdogs.
• Own the communication stack (EtherCAT / CAN-FD or equivalent): determinism, bus load, diagnostics across 20-40 actuators.
• Build production firmware infrastructure: secure bootloader, versioning, factory flashing stations, and OTA/update tooling.
• Define and implement end-of-line test hooks and self-test routines used by test engineering; own firmware-related yield issues.
• Establish the embedded development process: CI, HIL testing, release discipline; grow a small firmware team.
• Coordinate daily with the whole-body-control lead on real-time interfaces and with the plant on bring-up issues.

• 6+ years embedded firmware on real-time motor control or similar (C/C++, RTOS or bare-metal), with shipped hardware.
• Hands-on with motor-drive electronics, encoders, and at least one industrial fieldbus (EtherCAT, CAN/CAN-FD).
• Bench fluency: oscilloscopes, logic/bus analysers, board bring-up.
• Advanced English or Mandarin required (professional working proficiency); able to write procedures production technicians can execute.

• Robotics or automotive ECU background (e.g. Samsung R&D Vietnam, Bosch, automotive Tier-1s); functional-safety exposure; FPGA literacy.
