Job Purpose

The Facility & Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the maintenance, repair, installation, and continuous improvement of the organization's facilities, machinery, and equipment. This role ensures that all production assets operate safely, efficiently, and reliably while supporting business operations within approved budgets. The supervisor also drives preventive maintenance initiatives, coordinates facility improvement projects, and ensures compliance with health, safety, and regulatory standards.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead facility renovation and improvement projects, including preparing project documentation and supervising on-site activities.
  • Develop, implement, and manage equipment maintenance programs to maximize equipment reliability and availability.
  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance activities.
  • Introduce and maintain Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) practices, including preventive and breakdown maintenance.
  • Inspect machinery, equipment, and tooling regularly to identify maintenance requirements and ensure optimal performance.
  • Diagnose equipment malfunctions, perform troubleshooting, and coordinate timely repairs.
  • Organize and supervise equipment and tooling repair processes.
  • Install replacement parts and verify equipment performance following maintenance or repairs.
  • Develop equipment repair plans, including maintenance budgets and risk assessments.
  • Maintain manufacturing equipment to support uninterrupted production operations.
  • Create and configure production data within the 1C system.
  • Prepare and update work instructions and technical documentation for production personnel.
  • Participate in the planning and continuous improvement of production processes.
  • Execute planned preventive maintenance (PPM) schedules and complete work orders as assigned.
  • Utilize the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to record maintenance activities, equipment history, and work orders.
  • Monitor and control maintenance tools, spare parts inventory, and workshop equipment.
  • Assist with the installation, relocation, and commissioning of machinery and production equipment.
  • Operate maintenance equipment, including forklifts and elevated work platforms, where authorized.
  • Support external contractors and specialist engineers during maintenance or installation activities.
  • Investigate equipment failures, identify root causes, and report findings with corrective action recommendations.
  • Collaborate closely with production teams, engineering colleagues, and internal stakeholders to ensure effective maintenance support.
  • Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns, emergencies, and unplanned maintenance issues.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with company policies, health and safety regulations, and applicable industry standards.
  • Promote continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability, workplace safety, and operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in Mechanical and Electrical or equivalent qualification.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Proven experience as a Maintenance or Service Engineer within an industrial or manufacturing environment
  • Strong knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Experience working in manufacturing facilities with a large and diverse range of production equipment.
  • Experience developing maintenance strategies, repair plans, maintenance budgets, and risk assessments.
  • Good understanding of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Knowledge of industry health and safety regulations, including electrical and fire safety standards.
  • Proficiency in using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
  • Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
