Job Summary
The HRBP Lead serves as a strategic partner to senior business leaders across Corporate Functions, driving people strategies that enable organizational effectiveness, workforce capability, employee engagement, talent development, and transformation initiatives.
This role is responsible for partnering with functional leaders across support functions including Risk Management, Compliance, Finance, Legal, Operations, Human Resources, Technology, Strategy, ensuring that people practices align with business objectives and regulatory requirements. The incumbent will lead a team of HR Business Partners and collaborate closely with Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, Total Rewards, HR Operations, and Employee Relations teams to deliver a best-in-class employee experience.

Job Summary
The HRBP Lead serves as a strategic partner to senior business leaders across Corporate Functions, driving people strategies that enable organizational effectiveness, workforce capability, employee engagement, talent development, and transformation initiatives.
This role is responsible for partnering with functional leaders across support functions including Risk Management, Compliance, Finance, Legal, Operations, Human Resources, Technology, Strategy, ensuring that people practices align with business objectives and regulatory requirements. The incumbent will lead a team of HR Business Partners and collaborate closely with Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, Total Rewards, HR Operations, and Employee Relations teams to deliver a best-in-class employee experience.
1. Strategic Business Partnering
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders and department heads across Corporate Functions.
- Develop and implement people strategies aligned with business goals and workforce plans.
- Provide guidance on organizational design, workforce optimization, succession planning, and capability building.
- Support business transformation, digitalization, and organizational change initiatives.
- Challenge and influence leaders on people-related decisions using data and market insights.
- Lead annual workforce planning and manpower budgeting exercises.
- Partner with business leaders to assess organizational structure and recommend improvements.
- Drive productivity and efficiency initiatives through effective organizational design.
- Identify critical roles and talent risks, proposing mitigation and succession strategies.
- Facilitate talent review and succession planning processes across corporate functions.
- Identify high-potential employees and develop retention strategies.
- Partner with Learning & Development to create leadership and functional capability programs.
- Coach managers on performance management, career development, and employee engagement.
- Drive performance management processes, including goal setting, performance reviews, and calibration discussions.
- Support leaders in managing underperformance and recognizing high performers.
- Promote a high-performance, customer-centric, and risk-aware culture.
- Champion employee engagement initiatives and monitor culture health indicators.
- Provide expert advice on employee relations matters, disciplinary cases, grievances, and policy interpretations.
- Ensure compliance with Vietnam Labour Law, banking regulations, and internal policies.
- Partner with Legal and Compliance teams on employee-related risk matters.
- Manage sensitive employee issues with professionalism and confidentiality.
- Lead HR support for organizational transformation, restructuring, and change initiatives.
- Assess people impacts and develop change management plans.
- Support communication and engagement strategies during periods of change.
- Enable leaders to effectively manage change within their teams.
- Support annual compensation review, promotion, and bonus processes.
- Provide market insights and internal equity recommendations.
- Partner with Total Rewards team to ensure competitive compensation practices.
- Monitor attrition trends and retention risks within assigned functions.
- Leverage workforce data to provide insights and recommendations to business leaders.
- Analyze key HR metrics including:
- Headcount
- Attrition
- Internal mobility
- Employee engagement
- Diversity indicators
- Productivity metrics
- Prepare senior management presentations and HR dashboards.
- Lead and develop HRBP team members.
- Foster strong partnerships across HR Centers of Excellence and business stakeholders.
- Act as a role model for the HR function and promote HR best practices.
- Participate in strategic HR projects and initiatives at bank-wide level.
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Economics, Psychology, or related discipline.
- Master's Degree or HR certification is an advantage.
- Minimum 10-15 years of HR experience, with at least 5 years in an HR Business Partner leadership role.
- Proven experience partnering with senior executives in banking, financial services, insurance, fintech, or large corporate organizations.
- Strong exposure to corporate/support functions rather than front-office sales environments.
- Experience managing organizational transformation and change initiatives.
