Actuator & Drive Systems Lead

• Own actuator architecture and specification: torque, speed, backdrivability, thermal, mass, and cost targets per joint class.
• Design and iterate integrated joint modules (motor + reducer + encoder + driver + thermal path), including supplier-component selection and qualification.
• Run dyno bring-up and characterisation; define acceptance limits used by production end-of-line test.
• Release manufacturable designs: tolerances, assembly sequences, torque specs, and test procedures, jointly with industrialization.
• Drive cost-down and localization options for actuator sub-components with the supply-chain lead.
• Mentor mechanical and test engineers on actuation.

• 7+ years designing actuators, servo drives, or precision electromechanical modules; at least one shipped product or robot platform.
• Hands-on with BLDC/PMSM motor design or application, reducer selection (harmonic/planetary/cycloidal), and encoder integration.
• Strong test instincts: dyno work, thermal validation, efficiency mapping.
• Advanced English or Mandarin required (professional working proficiency); able to release documentation a Vietnamese production team can build from.

• Humanoid, quadruped, or cobot joint-module experience; frameless-motor integration; driver-electronics literacy.
• Experience transferring a design into volume manufacturing across sites.
