Job Purpose
The Production Planner is responsible for developing and maintaining production plans, monitoring production schedules, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient manufacturing operations, on-time delivery, and optimal resource utilization.
Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules based on customer demand, production capacity, and material availability.

Monitor production progress and adjust schedules as necessary to meet delivery commitments.

Coordinate closely with Production, Purchasing, Warehouse, Quality, and Logistics teams to ensure smooth execution of production plans.

Track inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods, and proactively identify potential shortages or excess stock.

Update and maintain planning data in ERP/SAP systems.

Prepare production planning reports and analyze operational data to support decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives.

Identify and resolve planning-related issues that may impact production performance.

Perform other duties assigned by the direct manager.
Requirements

Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or related fields.

1–3 years of experience in a Production Planning, Production Control, or related planning role within a manufacturing environment.

Hands-on experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP or equivalent manufacturing planning software.

Good understanding of manufacturing processes and production planning principles.

Ability to create and manage daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules and forecasts.

Strong communication and coordination skills with cross-functional teams.

Good problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively under pressure.

Detail-oriented, analytical, and logical mindset with strong reporting and data management skills.

High sense of responsibility, proactive attitude, and flexibility to support production requirements.
Preferred Qualifications

Experience in manufacturing industries such as packaging, plastics, paper, consumer goods, electronics, or industrial products.

Knowledge of MRP, inventory management, and capacity planning is an advantage.
