Senior/Staff Engineer – Hardware Validation

Job Responsibilities

• Develop and execute hardware validation plans for new products and platforms.
• Perform board-level, system-level, and product-level validation to ensure functionality, reliability, and performance.
• Design and execute validation test cases, debug failures, and identify root causes.
• Work closely with Hardware Design, FPGA, ASIC, Firmware, and Software teams to resolve technical issues.
• Analyze test results and provide recommendations for design improvements.
• Develop test scripts, automation tools, and validation methodologies to improve testing efficiency.
• Validate interfaces and protocols such as PCIe, USB, Ethernet, DDR, I2C, SPI, and UART.
• Support product bring-up, prototype testing, and qualification activities.
• Generate validation reports and ensure all product requirements are met before release.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical knowledge sharing within the team.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience for Senior level; 8+ years for Staff level in Hardware Validation, Product Validation, or System Validation.
• Strong knowledge of digital and analog circuit design, hardware debugging, and system integration.
• Hands-on experience with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, protocol analyzers, and power analyzers.
• Experience with hardware validation, failure analysis, and root cause investigation.
• Knowledge of industry-standard interfaces and protocols (PCIe, USB, Ethernet, DDR, I2C, SPI, UART, etc.).
• Familiarity with scripting or automation tools such as Python, Shell, or Perl is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a cross-functional environment.
• Good command of English.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in semiconductor, embedded systems, networking, server, consumer electronics, or automotive products.
• Experience with product qualification, reliability testing, and compliance validation.
• Knowledge of FPGA, ASIC, or SoC development processes is a plus.
