Mechanic Manager

Core Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise the Mechanic Section, ensuring all production machinery remains in good working condition.
• Implement TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) and minimize machine downtime affecting production and efficiency targets.
• Coordinate receiving, installation, setup and testing of new machines and equipment.
• Maintain and update machinery inventory, machine records, manuals and attachments.
• Ensure sufficient machinery and equipment are available for new style / production setup.
• Monitor machine breakdowns and repair costs; identify machines with excessive repair costs and recommend repair or replacement.
• Participate in pre-production meetings, discuss production methods and propose technical improvements to increase productivity.
• Take corrective actions to eliminate recurring machine downtime.
• Control maintenance consumables and machinery-related expenses within budget.
• Verify purchasing requirements for maintenance/mechanical materials before procurement.
• Prepare monthly reports on machine repair expenses, consumables and machinery inventory.
• Promote 5S and continuous improvement within the mechanic/maintenance area.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures and labor regulations.

Candidate Profile

• 10+ years of working experience, preferably in garment/textile manufacturing machinery or equipment.
• University degree in Industrial Management, Industrial Systems, Garment/Textile Manufacturing or related field.
• Strong experience in production machinery maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Experience in TPM, machine setup, preventive maintenance, breakdown reduction and machine availability.
• Able to manage both individual tasks and team operations.
• Good communication skills and able to work under pressure.
• Able to coordinate with Production and other departments.
