Company Overview

Our client is a multinational manufacturer specializing in advanced electronic components and thermal management solutions, serving global customers across consumer electronics, industrial, automotive, and technology sectors. The company is expanding its manufacturing operations and is seeking a high-caliber Deputy Plant Manager to support plant leadership and drive operational excellence.

Position Summary

Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Deputy Plant Manager will be responsible for overseeing daily manufacturing operations, driving productivity, quality, cost, delivery, and safety performance across the plant. This role will lead cross-functional teams and support strategic initiatives related to capacity expansion, process optimization, automation, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Support overall plant operations and ensure achievement of business objectives.
• Lead Production, Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, Planning, Warehouse, and related operational functions.
• Drive manufacturing excellence through Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Monitor and improve KPIs including Productivity, OEE, Yield, Scrap Rate, Cost Efficiency, and On-Time Delivery.
• Collaborate with engineering teams on process development, technology transfer, and new product introduction (NPI).
• Ensure compliance with quality, environmental, safety, and customer requirements.
• Develop management teams and succession plans to strengthen organizational capability.
• Lead problem-solving activities and corrective/preventive actions for operational issues.
• Support factory expansion, automation projects, and capacity scaling initiatives.
• Manage cross-functional communication with regional and global stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or above in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Management, or related disciplines.
• Minimum 10 years of manufacturing experience, including at least 5 years in a senior operations leadership position.
• Experience in one or more of the following industries:
  • Thin Film Manufacturing
  • Flexible Printed Circuit Board (FPCB)
  • Electronic Components
  • Printed Electronics
  • Precision Coating / Lamination
  • Semiconductor Materials
  • Advanced Materials Manufacturing
• Strong knowledge of production management, quality systems, maintenance, and process engineering.
• Proven track record in improving manufacturing performance and leading large-scale operations.
• Experience managing multi-functional teams within a complex manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with cleanroom operations, precision manufacturing processes, or high-volume electronics production is highly preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• English proficiency required; additional Asian language capability is advantageous.

Preferred Profile

• Plant Manager, Deputy Plant Manager, Operations Manager, Manufacturing Manager, Production Director, or Deputy General Manager from electronics component manufacturing.
• Candidates with experience from FPCB, PCB, flexible materials processing, thin-film technologies, or precision electronics manufacturing environments are highly desirable.
• Exposure to multinational company culture and global customer requirements.
