Design Director/ Head of Design

The Design Director / Head of Design is responsible for leading and overseeing all design-related activities across the developer’s portfolio of projects. This role ensures that architectural, structural, MEP, and master planning designs align with the company’s vision, project requirements, and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the design management team, ensuring effective coordination between consultants, contractors, and internal departments.

• Oversee the end-to-end design process: concept, schematic, detailed design, and construction documentation.

• Ensure compliance with local regulations, codes, and standards.

• Drive innovation and design excellence, balancing aesthetics, functionality, and cost efficiency.

• Collaborate with project directors and construction teams to resolve design issues during execution.

• Manage design budgets, schedules, and deliverables to meet project milestones.

• Represent the company in design-related meetings with external stakeholders, authorities, and partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or related field.

• Minimum 10–15 years of experience in design management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role at a real estate developer or consultancy.

• Strong knowledge of urban planning, structural systems, MEP coordination, and construction processes.

• Proven ability to manage multiple large-scale projects simultaneously.

• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

• Proficiency in design software (AutoCAD, Revit, BIM tools) and project management systems.
