About the role:
Our client is in the process of setting up a brand-new apparel manufacturing plant in Vietnam, with commercial production planned for early 2027. Joining as Chief Accountant, you will be at the forefront of building the accounting and finance framework from day one, including accounting policies, reporting processes, closing schedules, internal controls, and statutory compliance requirements. Working alongside senior management, you will have the opportunity to shape the financial backbone of a newly established manufacturing business.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead all accounting activities: AP, AR, general ledger, intercompany reconciliation, and tax compliance.
- Develop and implement accounting systems and controls tailored for a newly established entity.
- Prepare monthly financial and management reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Manage statutory filings (VAT, tax returns) and liaise with auditors, regulators, and external advisors.
- Partner with leadership to align financial reporting with both local and international standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- At least 5 years of experience in accounting/finance, with full-cycle exposure (AP, AR, GL, intercompany, month-end close).
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with senior management.
- Preferred: experience with ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics) and background in start-up or newly established operations.
