Head of L&D

1. Job Overview

• We are seeking a strategic Learning & Development (L&D) Director to architect and execute comprehensive training frameworks for our Direct Operations and Support teams. Our retail network scales from 5,000 to 13,000 locations over the next four years.
• This role is critical in driving workforce capability, developing robust succession pipelines, and leveraging digital learning solutions to ensure operational excellence and business continuity.

2. Key Responsibilities

• Design and execute an overarching L&D strategy for Direct Operations and Support divisions to ensure standardized competencies during rapid network expansion.
• Develop and oversee targeted talent pipelines and succession planning programs (e.g., Potential Managers, Interns, Fresh Graduates) to sustain high internal promotion rates.
• Deploy and optimize scalable LMS/e-learning platforms tailored to a highly distributed frontline workforce.
• Evaluate training effectiveness by aligning L&D initiatives with core operational KPIs, including productivity, service quality, and employee retention.

3. Requirements

• 8+ years of progressive L&D experience, including 3+ years at a senior management level within large-scale retail, FMCG, or F&B sectors (>1,000 locations).
• Proven capability to build and lead L&D functions within dynamic, hyper-growth corporate environments.
• Strong business acumen with practical knowledge of storing P&L, workforce productivity, and complex chain operations.
• Strategic mindset with demonstrated success in advising C-suite executives and translating business objectives into measurable human capital initiatives.
