I. Job Responsibilities
- Partner with the Product Owners to prioritize customer segments, identify value pools and quantify business opportunities across journeys
- Analyze customer, transaction, engagement, operational and risk data to diagnose pain points, identify root causes and support product and journey prioritization
- Lead current-state assessment and future-state journey design, translating business objectives into process flows, capability requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria
- Define KPI trees and measurement frameworks for squad outcomes, including metric definitions, baselines, targets and reporting mechanisms
- Collaborate with Risk, Compliance, Operations, Technology and Data teams to validate business rules, controls, dependencies and operational impacts
- Support backlog refinement, sprint planning, UAT, release readiness and post-launch performance tracking
- Develop reports and management insights that help Product Owners make data-driven prioritization decisions
- Measure initiative impact against business cases and recommend optimization opportunities based on data and customer insights
II. Measurement Indicators
- Requirement and journey quality: story readiness, backlog quality, acceptance criteria completeness and clarity, UAT pass rate, defect leakage and rework rate
- Insights and analytics: reporting reliability, dashboard adoption and timeliness of performance reporting
- Delivery enablement: backlog readiness, release readiness, dependency closure and stakeholder satisfaction
- Value tracking and realization: business case accuracy, baseline and target completeness, post-release KPI and impact tracking and control/audit evidence completeness
III. Key Qualifications and Experience
1. Education
- Minimum: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Banking, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science or a related field
- Preferred: Master's Degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Finance or MBA; IIBA, CBAP, SQL, Power BI, Tableau or analytics certification preferred
2. Experience
- 5–8 years in business analysis, product analytics, management consulting, data analytics, product management, process improvement or transformation in retail banking, cards, payments or financial services
- Over 3 years working with agile squads and cross-functional teams involving Product Owners, Segment/Marketing, Channels, Technology, Operations, Risk, Compliance and Data
- Proven expertise in requirements gathering, customer journey mapping, process redesign, user stories and performance analysis
- Hands-on experience with SQL, Excel, Power BI, Tableau or similar tools
- End-to-end cards and payments lifecycle, including onboarding, issuance, activation, transactions, servicing, engagement and loyalty
3. Skillsets
- Strong problem-solving skills to translate ambiguous business issues into structured analysis and develop actionable recommendations
- Strong business analysis skills in requirement gathering, journey mapping, process design, user story creation, acceptance criteria and UAT planning
- Strong data analysis skills in SQL, cohort, funnel, segment, behavioral analytics and root-cause analysis
- Knowledge of cards and payments products, including onboarding, authorization, settlement, servicing, loyalty, merchant, fraud, operations, risk and compliance
- Understanding of customer lifecycle economics and product performance metrics
