Whole-Body Control & Motion Lead

• Design and implement whole-body control: kinematics/dynamics modelling, MPC/WBC stacks, gait generation, balance and disturbance recovery.
• Own sim-to-real: simulation environments, system identification, and transfer of controllers onto production hardware.
• Define per-unit calibration and motion-verification procedures executed by the plant at end of line; set pass criteria with test engineering.
• Integrate with perception and higher-level autonomy interfaces; keep the control stack stable across hardware revisions.
• Set the real-time software architecture jointly with the embedded firmware lead (control rates, bus loads, safety states).
• Review and mentor control engineers as the team grows.

• 7+ years in legged or whole-body robot control with at least one platform demonstrably walking/operating under your control stack.
• Deep fluency in rigid-body dynamics, optimisation-based control (MPC/QP/WBC), and state estimation.
• Strong C++ (real-time) plus Python; simulation experience (MuJoCo, Isaac, or equivalent).
• Advanced English or Mandarin required (professional working proficiency).

• Humanoid-specific experience; RL-augmented locomotion; safety and fault-handling design for fielded robots.
• Experience defining factory calibration/test procedures for robots in production.
